The Rabies Reality
Who is most susceptible to rabies? Most warm-blooded animals are vulnerable to contracting the virus, rabies. Medical experts and veterinarians note that certain species are more immune to rabies than other animals. The most prevalent way to contract rabies is via a nip from a rabid animal. While there are a wealth of varied symptoms, rabies is an incurable disease with an inevitable death as the outcome. Fortunately, the virus is highly preventable through vaccination.

The bichon frise breed is quite old. Originally they used to belong only to kings and queens. However, eventually they became known for their abilty to learn tricks and for their excellent sense of balance. As a result, they gained a reputation for being excellent as circus dogs.
As a result, a rabies vaccination means a matter of life and death for one's bulldog. Pets that are vaccinated have a reduced chance of contracting the terminal virus. In the United State, rabies vaccination is mandatory for all DOGS. However, approximately, only 50 percent of all canines are vaccinated. Depending on the local legislation, various municipalities require cats to be vaccinated as well. Certain reports suggest that only ten percent of the feline population is vaccinated.

While many people think of Boxers as aggressive, they are actually great with children. They were bred to be hunters, yes, but they were bred to corner prey, not kill it. As a result, they are protective, yet patient.
Dogs should be vaccinated at the age of three to four months. At the age of one, they should receive another vaccination and again at three years. The standard vaccination protocol has proven effective in not only DOGS but cats as well. From city-to city, county-to-county and different veterinarians, annual or bi-annual vaccinations are mandated.

The dachshund's name comes from it's earliest use. The dachshund was originally a badger hunter. In German, Dachs means "badger," Hund is "hound". This explains the breed's curious and inquisitive nature, which has survived to this day.
In the realm of diagnosing a bulldog with rabies, the brain is examined via microscopic assessment. Medical advancements are beginning to utilize the skin and blood samples in clinical trials.

There is absolutely no difference between an Australian silky terrier, silky toy terrier and a silky terrier. They are all the same breed, but have different names in different countries, specifically in Australia, Canada and the United States.
Essentially, there is not a cure, therapy or treatment for rabies. In bulldogs, there have been a few isolated cases where canine have survived the infection; however, the cases are far and few between.

Many toy fox terriers used to be used commonly in circus shows by clowns. They are said to make great companions for owners with a good sense of humor. They seem to anticipate their master's every thought and mood.

Newfoundlands have webbed feet, just like ducks. They also have extremely water-proof fur. Those features, as well as their great strength, loyalty and willingness to learn, make newfies great candidates to work as water rescue dogs.
