Leading Your Bulldog to Obedience
Although bulldogs have been touted as mans best friend, canines require conditioning for a good relationship to develop. Have you ever seen a bulldog that joins their owner for dinner or just takes charge of the house? Domineering bulldogs take charge when they are not trained who is the subordinate in the relationship.

Pharaoh Hounds have an unusual feature. They are the only breed of dogs that "blushes". They do this when they are excited or happy. When they "blush" their ears, nose and eyes will become pink.
So, what does it take to demonstrate to your puppy or canine that you are the top DOG of the house. Verisimilar to children, bulldogs try to get away with what they think their master will overlook. Neglecting to seize control of a dominant puppy can lead to many adulthood traumas, socialization issues and problem. Showing a canine who is the leader early on, ensures that an owner will always have control over their bulldog.

The German Shepherd Dog is also known as the Alsatian, or Deutsche Schaferhund. Rin Tin Tin, probably the most famous American German Shepherd, was actually born in France in September of 1918 and then brought to America later.
But, the enforcement of leadership is a touchy issue with bulldogs. Too much authority may promote stubborn behavior. Teaching a puppy who the leader is is easier than training an adult bulldog. Like old expression states you cant teach an old DOG new tricks, it applies to training an adult bulldog. Enforcing leadership with a bulldog should be executed by praising a bulldog with a reward and praise when he or she is obedient.

Border collies are excellent at herding. But they don't descriminate between livestock and other things. This makes them great at things like fly-ball, obedience, tracking, fetching, Frisbee toss, and sheep herding. Sometimes they get out of hand though, several border collies have been known to try to herd small groups of children!
Here are a few ways to demonstrate or exercise your leadership with your bulldog:

Beagles are known to be extremely social and cheerful dogs. They are expected to be so friendly that, even in dog shows, the judges expect them to be happy. They have points removed in the judging if they look to be unhappy.
-- To demonstrate your authority, remove your bulldogs food from time to time during training. Use the food to reward your bulldog for good behavior.

The Broholmer is a breed that is recognized only in Denmark. It was thought extinct in the 1960's but, in December of 1974, a purebred Broholmer popped up in Finland. This dog was a male, and the owners hoped to find a female for him to mate with, but it never happened. While still recognized as a breed, an example has yet to appear again.
-- Exit through doors first to show that youre the top bulldog

The Saluki is represented in Sumarian carvings dated back to 7000 B.C. It is said that Whenever one sees the word "dog" in the Bible it means the Saluki, because the Saluki is believed to be among the oldest dog breeds.
-- When you have to maneuver around your pet, have it move to show dominance.

The bedlington terrier, a large, unique looking breed, is often described as looking like a lamb on a leash. This is probably because it has fur with a wooly texture. As a result of this fur type, the bedlington does not shed.
-- Anytime, your bulldog begins to show signs of aggression directed towards you, seek the advice of a licensed veterinarian or a canine behavioral specialist.

An American foxhound became one of the most amazing mothers in the dog world when she set a record for the largest litter of puppies in 1944. She had not one, not two, not even ten, but twenty-three puppies!
