How to Crate Train Your Bulldog
Crate training is generally considered one of the fastest, and best, ways you can train your puppy to teach them not to go to the bathroom in the house. Crate training takes advantage of one of the strong instincts of your bulldog: that they will not go to the bathroom in their own personal space if it can be avoided. Having a crate for your puppy will then mean that it will hold when it wants to go to the bathroom. Pay attention to your puppy's behavior and when they get finicky, you can put your puppy on a leash and take it outside.

Franklin D. Roosevelt once spent $15,000 to have a destroyer return to the Aleutian Islands and retrieve his Scottish terrier, Fala, who had been accidentally left behind. Fala is now part of the Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, D.C.
This is a good time to use positive reinforcement so your bulldog will learn that this is a good action.
Every time you take your puppy out to go to the bathroom, give a treat and praise every time your puppy does so. This will help reinforce that outside is the place to go to the bathroom. After that the bulldog can run freely in the house until it needs to go again, which for some really young puppies can be as often as every hour, but later as they age. Keep a close eye on your pet to let them out when they really need to go.

Basset hounds are fabulous at hunting and they make wonderful companion dogs. However, even with those great qualities, basset hounds are horrible swimmers! Their legs are simply too small to keep their heavy, long bodies afloat properly.
There are several factors you need to keep in mind while crate training your bulldog:
Only use the crate when you are going to be home for the entire time of confinement. Bulldogs are social creatures, and you should never have them in a closed crate more than two hours, or while you're away from home--even if it's only for a short time.
Don't put the crate away from everyone. Bulldogs want to be part of the family, so even in a crate they will be much happier in a room full of people than off to the side when they can't see anyone.
After your bulldog is successfully housebroken, remove the door from the crate. Now your bulldog has its own private space and can come and go in the house as it pleases.

The basenji could really be considered more like a cat than a dog. Not only is it the only breed of dog that does not bark, but is also a meticulous cleaner. Unlike other dogs, the basenji actually licks itself clean, just like a cat!
If you keep these tips in mind and put in the due diligence the first couple months to get your bulldog on the right track, you will not only have a well trained house pet, but will save yourself more time in training and re-training.
Done effectively, crate training is the perfect way to train your pet to be a part of the family.

The greater swiss mountain dog, or swissy, is believed to be a direct descendant of the ancient tibetan mastiff. A versatile dog, the swissy traditionally drove cattle, guarded property, protected human companions and fought in wars.

Many people will swear that they own a golden labrador. The problem is that golden labradors do not exist! There is no purebred dog called a golden lab. The dog is probably either a golden retriever or a labrador retriever.
