Basic Bulldog Care 101
Although there are certain rules for walking your bulldog in various cities, there are not any guideline requirements on caring for your bulldog. With a plethora of canine health articles on the market, few report the basics or no brainers that you will learn along the way.

While many people think of Boxers as aggressive, they are actually great with children. They were bred to be hunters, yes, but they were bred to corner prey, not kill it. As a result, they are protective, yet patient.
But as a refresher in living and raising a bulldog 101 review these tips:

Many Scottish terriers have an odd medical condition. It is called Scotties Cramp. It is a mild neurological disorder. Scotties under stress or exercising may move erratically, when suffering from this neurological disorder, but seem fine when resting.
-- To promote your bulldogs health, do not overfeed him or her. It will ensure a lower risk of joint problems and heart conditions.

The smallest breed of dog recognized by the American Kennel Club is the Chihuahua, which stands six to nine inches at the top of the shoulders and generally weighs two to six pounds. Their size makes them excellent travel companions.
-- Wait a minimum of two days after your bulldog has recovered from an illness before you expose it to other DOGS

The Podengo, a rare breed of dog, is also known as the Portuguese Warren Hound. It is usually a fawn or yellow color, but can be brown, black or sooty colored without white patches or spots. It resembled a long-bodied chihuahua.
-- If your canine consistently acts out of control, enroll him or her in an obedience training class before you take it in the company of others

Yorkshire terriers are very tenacious. In fact, A 12-pound Yorkshire Terrier named Oliver once defended an elderly woman from an 80-pound Akita. The woman escaped to safety and Oliver the yorkie survived with only nine stitches.
-- To avoid the unknown (illness, injury and safety), never allow your bulldog to loiter, play or roam in an unsecured or restricted area

The diminutive tibetan spaniel, with his feather-like tail, may look a bit like other spaniels, but the breed is actually not a spaniel at all, but more closely related to some combination of the shih tzu, pug, pekingese and Japanese chin.
-- In the company of your canine and others, try to anticipate their excitement from accidentally slamming into you by slightly bending your knees to prevent hyperextension.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest lived dog was an Australian Cattle Dog named Bluey. The dog lived to be 29. This case was considered unusual since smaller dogs generally live longer. The chihuahua is actually the breed that tends to live the longest.
-- At the park, you should not be surprised when you call your bulldog and other canines respond.

The Lowchen, a small, somewhat rare breed of dog, is native to France. It's called "petit chien lion" or, "little lion dog". This is due to its fur growth, as it resembles the mane of a lion.
-- During extreme temperatures, protect your canine from developing, hypothermia, heat stroke (overheating) as well as frostbite. Do not take your pet to the park during harsh weather conditions.

The greater swiss mountain dog, or swissy, is believed to be a direct descendant of the ancient tibetan mastiff. A versatile dog, the swissy traditionally drove cattle, guarded property, protected human companions and fought in wars.
-- Never feed other people's canine pets for two reasons:
1) Not all treats agree with all DOGS. The food you give someone elses DOG could affect it's digestion
2) Certain owners have their bulldog on a restrictive diet.

Yorkshire terriers are very tenacious. In fact, A 12-pound Yorkshire Terrier named Oliver once defended an elderly woman from an 80-pound Akita. The woman escaped to safety and Oliver the yorkie survived with only nine stitches.

The Broholmer is a breed that is recognized only in Denmark. It was thought extinct in the 1960's but, in December of 1974, a purebred Broholmer popped up in Finland. This dog was a male, and the owners hoped to find a female for him to mate with, but it never happened. While still recognized as a breed, an example has yet to appear again.
